WHO IS DOING THE STUDY?

This study is a collaboration between Morehouse School of Medicine Prevention Research Center, Georgia Department of Public Health Division of Maternal and Child Health, Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Children, and Infants, the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension, and the Strong Fathers Strong Families Georgia Coalition.

ABOUT THE STUDY

The purpose of the study is to understand the nutrition and breastfeeding behaviors of expecting moms and dads.

WHY WAS THE STUDY STARTED?

Black women in Georgia are at increased risk for experiencing a pregnancy- related death or disease. This research helps us understand if nutrition and breastfeeding education for expecting moms and dads helps to prevent pregnancy- related complications.  

WHAT WILL I BE ASKED TO DO AS A PARTICIPANT?

As a Project DINE participant, you will be asked to attend eight (8) nutrition classes.

You will be compensated for your time and participation.
